Abstract

The importance of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) in universities is undeniable, as it seamlessly integrates environmental management with traditional Human Resource Management. GHRM practices not only streamline the implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) but also cater to the unique needs of various universities and higher education institutions. This paper aims to provide insights into the core GHRM practices and institution-specific approaches, emphasizing their significance. Effective GHRM implementation can effectively raise awareness among both staff and management about waste reduction, resource conservation, and maintaining a clean campus environment. A successful GHRM system benefits all stakeholders, including employees, by motivating them to enhance their productivity.
